Fellow
Leadership Alumni,
As
we wrap up the fiscal year for the Leadership Alumni program I wanted
to take a moment to thank the folks who helped make the year
successful. As with most organizations, we are blessed
with great volunteers and sponsors.
First,
a big thanks to Bancorp South and Reliant Bank.
BancorpSouth hosted our Opening Reception and our spring event at
Dyer Observatory last year while Reliant was a sponsor for our fall
event at Arrington and a sponsor of this newsletter. Additional
thanks to XMi Commercial Real Estate for support of this
newsletter. In addition to the organizations that have made the
year possible, I wanted to also thank our volunteer steering
board. Anna Hill, Sarah Johnson, Leigh Bawcom, Joyce Brackett,
Lyn n Tucker and Karen Harper have done an outstanding job keeping me
in check and all of our events on time and under budget.
If
you happen to see anyone from Reliant Bank or BancorpSouth or
pass by any of our board, take a moment and say thanks. Our
great events would not have happened without them.
Finally,
hearty congratulations to our newest alumni from this year's
Leadership class. I hope each of you continue your involvement
in our community.
Warm
regards-
Devin

Our
first in a series of educational breakfasts titled Briefings On Brentwood begins
next week! Mark your calendar for Tuesday morning, April
13th. We will be hosting a continental breakfast and discussion
with City Manager Mike Walker and Mayor Betsy Crossley about the
current state of the City, the budget process (with their thoughts on
any potential need for a tax increase) and how Brentwood's
budget and fiscal situation compares to municipalities. In an
era where most cities are slashing budgets and raising revenues via
taxes and fees, find out what might be in store for Brentwood in the
coming budget year. We promise to wrap up by 8:30 to get you on
to your day.
When:
April 13, 7:30am - 8:30am
Congratulations To This Year's Class
If
you did not make it to graduation, you missed a great evening and
some incredible presentations by this year's
class. All the projects were well crafted, planned
and developed. When you see them around town or at
the next event, make sure to congratulate Maurilio Amorim, Steve
Dycus, David Fox, Rod Freeman, David Green, Mike Knotts, Susan
Leathers, Greg Lemon, Dr. Dan McHugh, Kelli Nelson, Angela Nordstrom,
Vicki Smith, Anna Stotts, Amy Tanksley and Liz Wilson.

Alumni Dues
As
you will remember, we are a dues driven organization with no
financial support from the Chamber of Commerce or other entity.
We rely solely on dues from members like you along with corporate
sponsorships from great folks like BancorpSouth, Reliant Bank and XMi
Commercial Real Estate. You will be receiving, under separate
email, an invoice for your annual membership dues in the near
future. You can pay by check or credit card and can also pay
online at this link. We have an open book on how your dues are
spent. Our primary goal remains to offer free events throughout
the year for socializing, networking, learning and staying involved.
Upcoming Chamber Event
The
great folks at the Chamber of Commerce have invited all Leadership
Alumni to attend the annual Appreciation Breakfast presented by
Office Depot on April 13th from 8am - 10am. If you are planning
on attending the Briefings on Brentwood event, consider stopping by
the breakfast afterwards. Additional details can be found on
the Chamber website at www.brentwoodcoolsprings.org.
